What is discipleship?  Is this something everyone has to do?
Matthew 28:18-20 Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.

Alright - so Jesus says I have to. What does St. Matthew's do to make disciples of all nations?

Good question - we like where you're going with this! At St. Matthew's we primarily spend time learning and teaching God's Word through our worship services, Christian education events, and Bible studies. None of these will be enough on their own - God calls us to spend time together with fellow believers in worship as just one part of the path to knowledge of His eternal kingdom. His Word as revealed to us through the Bible and the discernment of fellow Christians is also a critical component of understanding not only the nature of God but His will for us in the world. The Sunday services at St. Matthew's are the most visible component of our commitment to honoring God and sharing in the sacraments handed down to us by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In addition to the regularly scheduled services, we also frequently host special services near the holidays and for other important occasions. Serving in these ceremonies is guaranteed to give you both a new understanding of the purpose of our worship and an appreciation for service to your church community.
